Ok I’m asking the internet! I just learned that Berit the Squishmallow Moth is a Canada exclusive… Thing is, I found her at a gas station in Illinois in the US the day after Christmas! I’m so happy to have her in my collection! I adore her and she’s already one of my favorites, but I’m confused. Does this mean she’s in the US now or was this a very lucky mistake? Idk I’m new to tumblr and I don’t know the best tags to get people to see this but I will do my best. No matter what, I’m so thankful to have her. It would just be awesome if more people could get their hands on a super cute moth squishmallow! I hope this means she will be readily available in the US now.

it makes me sad to see so many non-ADHD allistic neurodivergent people be shocked when they find out they do in fact “count” as neurodivergent (or even autistic or adhd people who are shocked to find out their other things Count as neurodivergent) bc they have been convinced by online communities that only ADHD and autism (and maybe anxiety) are neurodivergencies
anyway Things That Count:
- autism
- ADHD
- anxiety disorders such as phobias, OCD, generalized anxiety, and social anxiety
- major depression, dysthymia/persistent depression, and other depressive disorders
- bipolar disorder
- psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective, delusional disorder, and other things that include psychosis
- personality disorders
- Depersonalization/Derealization disorder, DID, OSDD, etc
- PTSD and C-PTSD
- addictions
- anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and many other EDs
- intellectual disability
- learning disabilities like dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc
- epilepsy
- tourette’s
- down syndrome
- And More ! i have a very bad memory so i don’t remember every mental disorder to ever exist, but literally. if there is something wrong or Funky going on in your brain. if you have ANY mental illness, mental disorder, mental disability, or mental condition. congrats you’re neurodivergent
Wait wait wait,,,,,, epilepsy and dyscalculia are Neurodivergencies???????
epilepsy is indeed a neuro-that-diverges and dyscalculia was (alongside other learning disabilities) one of the first things to be included in “neuroDIVERSE”, let alone “neuroDIVERGENT”

Serious question: am I the only one that actually kinda likes JarJar Binks? Perhaps it’s cos he’s as annoying and uncool as I am 😅
Also it might be because I was in primary school when watching it so maybe he appeals to my nostalgia and through the eyes of a child

Have you ever tried making a “Not To Do List”? We make to do lists all the time but learning how to prioritze what is essential and being ok with letting things go is important. A “not to do list” would include things like: Not answering your text messages as soon as you get them, not checking your email all day, not picking at your skin or criticise yourself in the mirror. It could contain anything you want to not do for a while to help you feel better.

Allow people to like you, to enjoy your company, to want to be your friend. Allow them to compliment you, allow others to think you’re cool and funny even if you think you’re not. It is not up to you to tell others how to feel, and remember that people might see the positive things in you and qualities that you have been failing to see while being too self-critical. Allow yourself to be liked by other people, even when you don’t see why they should. Don’t self-isolate because you think you are not good enough for other people.

you truly do not exist for other ppl’s consumption and your existence is not hinged on making others happy and comfortable by stifling and hiding and crushing and editing parts of yourself to be less than who you really are

A while ago I read about autistic people and nesting somewhere & I think we don’t talk about that enough.
Apparently, a lot of autistic people like nesting.
I love nesting. I carefully choose a space to build my nest and I bring all my little trinkets there.
I surround myself with everything I love and everything I could possibly need in the next few hours- my water bottle, a snack, my weighted blanket, my soft blanket, hand creme, my headphones, my charger, my favorite stuffed animals- so I don’t have to leave the nest to get anything.
It makes me feel save and calm and like everything is gonna be ok. This is a nesting appreciation post.
Any other autistics who love a good nest?
I keep a remote, a phone charger, my books, meds, my knitting, drinks, and my laptop in my corner of the couch. I never realized this was a thing, but I’m always confused when my husband keeps getting up to get things he wants instead of keeping everything he could possibly want in his corner.
Two nests - one on the sofa, one in bed
Posts that make you go: hmmm, maybe this applies to me too
Because ho boy, me and my partner both nest a lot lololololol
